Corporate Social Responsibility

At Vine Resources we are committed to putting something back into the community.

Charity challenges

Managing Director David Lawrence is actively involved in regular money-raising activities - in 2008 he raised more than £4,500 climbing to Everest base camp and cycling through gale-force winds in Cape Town and in 2010 raised over £1000 for his charity bike ride from London to Paris - but he believes that CSR is about more than just fund-raising:

Contributing to the community

"I think Corporate Social Responsibility is about having an awareness of what is happening around you and doing something definitive that contributes to those in the community who are less fortunate.  I want my staff to be actively involved and to understand why they are raising money for a particular cause - I want them to be interested and proactive."

CSR in the community

"We are currently looking at causes that we can support as a company over a period of time, not only by raising money, but also by actually going in and helping to make a tangible difference.  My aim is to allocate CSR days where staff are paid but actually spend the day out of the office working with a cause or project and making a real impact."
