Background

Liberty Global is one of the world’s leading converged video, broadband, and communication companies. It has operations in six European countries and its consumer brands include Virgin Media, 02 and Telenet. 

Liberty Global had a large number of suppliers supporting them across multiple regions to hire their contingent workforce at speed. They needed people in their European HQ in Amsterdam in the Netherlands as well as their regional locations which included Virgin Media in the UK, UBC in Switzerland and offices across Germany.

The company was looking to hire as quickly as possible so as not to delay current projects and the precise mix of skills and experience they were looking for was very rare and they were challenged to find anyone that would fit the bill.

The solution

Liberty Global is a fast-moving account and we embed ourselves within their teams to provide the best contractors across Europe.

We had already supplied them with a number of media-related technology consultants with hard to find profiles such as network/security and Wintel engineers, software delivery managers, developers and scrum masters, to name but a few! 

Briefing calls were set up with the hiring manager to fully understand their requirements and we executed a comprehensive search project which included extensive souring activities within our own and external networks. 

The result

The first candidates were presented within 48 hrs and a targeted shortlist was submitted soon after. We fully managed the interview and reference checking processes and worked with the line managers to ensure those candidates were offered and onboarded successfully.

Our operations team fully supported the Liberty Global back-office systems, process and timesheet requirements.

In excess of 100 consultants have been placed by us into Liberty Global to date across Europe and we look forward to working with them to grow in the future.
