Company background

Vodafone Group plc is a British multinational telecommunications company. Its registered office is located in Newbury, Berkshire, England and its global headquarters is based in London, England. It predominantly operates services in the regions of Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania.

The Challenge 

Vodafone were looking to hire a Fraud Business Analyst to help deliver a fraudmanagement solution for an MVNO with a large supermarket client. The rolerequired experience with terabit databases and working in a similar sized telecoms business. The position would be responsible for identifying the scope of the project, building a plan and working with the project management and wholesale team to deliver on this plan. In addition to delivering on the project, the successful candidate would also be tasked with creating a fraud blueprint for any future MVNO business. For this reason it was very important to find someone with the correct skills and experience and at the right level of seniority.

The Solution

Vine Resources searched across its extensive candidate network and found four suitable candidates that had both the skills and experience that Vodafone was looking for. Of these four candidates, three were invited to interview. Vodafone hired one of these candidates based on the fact that they had previously worked in a very similar role with EE.

The Result

Having successfully placed a candidate in the role Vine Resources went to Vodafone’s office to meet with the candidate and the hiring manager to check that both were happy with the placement. The hiring manager said that the candidate had already added real value to both the MVNO and the  business as a whole.
