My client is a leader in the UK Fibre industry. Due to demand and growth of their services they require a Construction Supervisor to join their team on a 6-12 month contract. This is an important role where you'll be outside in a public facing role 80% of the time with 2 weekly office meetings and updates on the progress
*Ensure and monitor effective site operations and coordination of works compliant to NRSWA and Health & Safety requirements.
*At least one full and detailed Health and Safety audit per crew per week
*Utilisation of iAuditor/Deponet to document SHEQ issues (H&S and Quality) as per company KPI requirements
*Attend weekly meeting with Construction Manager for a general catch-up
*Attend weekly meeting with Construction Manager covering progress, risks and issues
*Utilise Symology to ensure works are being carried out in accordance with notices
*Carry out joint walks with the council, the contractor and Planners in advance of PN build start to form a site specific plan for build (PN basis)
*Carry out site walks to sign off on measure sheets for the QS
*Redline drawings as works are completed accurately to aid As-Built completion
*Carry out for defect lists on completion of Civils works on PNs
*Proactively engage with the public and report back with their comments
*Follow processes with regards to monitoring and reporting risks and issues
*Document lessons learnt with Construction Manager
*Understand and comply with NEC3 Option B Contract Obligations
*Understand and comply with Client CDM 2015 requirements
You'll be an experience supervisor working with civil highways/footways.
You must have NRSWA cert
You will have a background in working with either telecoms, utilities (Gas or Water)
If you have NEC3 framework experience this will be a plus
Experience with Fibre/FTTP will be a plus but not essential
Public facing role with good communication skills and able to work independently
You'll need to be based in Aberdeen or willing to be based there Monday - Friday with transport available. Logistics for accommodation can be discussed.
