End to end Architect
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast moving team working on next generation video entertainment products for rolling it out globally. This role is pivotal in bringing together E2E products and services at the design activity level, including drawing in IT, Core, Access, Mobile & Technology groups so it's designed in a compelling and differentiated service across the entire customer journey, not just the core product functionality, with built-in quality, robustness and operational excellence instrumentation and operating model design. The role is accountable for E2E architecture and service design for video products, through the technology delivery and operations lifecycle phases ensuring timely delivery of technically ready products and services that can be taken to market in countries globally.
*Owns E2E product/solution design defines the end-to-end architecture/service design across Technology, IT, Supply Chain, Core & Access domains
*Technical design authority architecture changes throughout the product delivery lifecycle
*Lead E2E design and integration activities with E2E Integration (SI) team
*Production of end to end HLA
*Creation & gathering of functional and non-functional requirements,
*Contributes to vendor selection activities where end to end design identifies requirements for new capability,
*Contributes to end to end Entertainment Technology roadmap, supported by domain experts
*Enabling features on the video platform
*Integration Architecture and how to deploy on multi country with local country optimisation
*At least 5 years of experience with next generation IP Video streaming services
*At least 7+ experience and knowledge of CATV technologies, STB and DTV Middleware platforms and Video Delivery technologies
*An understanding of Entertainment related costs and economics and able to support unit economic analysis.
*Advanced Excel to create capacity models for components and end to end systems
*Experienced in developing forecasting models used to analyse impact of varying demand and supply parameters on product platforms
*Ability to perform complex data analysis with a proven track record in problem-solving
*Experience with working in an international and distributed team environment
*An understanding of Entertainment B2C services from commercial & content side product development process
*deep understanding of entertainment technology & ecosystem, from CPE hardware and software to service platforms, user interfaces, Apps and media acquisition/management, processing, and distribution, and end-to-end content protection and security
*wide understanding of IP and broadcast networking as well as data centre infrastructure.
*A strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and telecommunications operator.
*Technical knowledge and implementation experience around Video encoding/transcoding, CAS, DRM, Video back-ends, workflows, CMS, security services, Search & Recommendations, Application Services, CDN, Ad Insertion, broadband data, home networking, TV, VoD, PVR, Access technology, and Internet technology related.
*Good overall knowledge/familiarity with wider telecommunications technologies,
