This role delivers the overall technical OSS IT solution design for the given projects working with stakeholders in Operations and specifically focused on BMC Products (Remedy (bespoke and ITSM implementations), Atrium (CDM and SID data models).
There are various projects and initiatives underway in 2017 that impact the Remedy platforms and this role will support a major network upgrade project.
You will work with Service Management teams to drive forward their initiatives and Service Improvements alongside all the project deliverables.
Specific Skills / Experience Required For This Project:
Telecoms industry knowledge of fixed line & data services and typical Service Management models/challenges for these
Understanding of Configuration Management methodologies applied to Networks
Detailed knowledge of ITSM
Exposure to UK Compliance Standards in the Telecommunication sector
Detailed knowledge of Remedy ARS
Detailed knowledge of BMC Atrium CMDB
5 years + Experience Service Management working within Telecommunication sector
Extensive exposure to different Network delivery mechanisms
Required critical competencies and behaviours
Strong communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
The ability to make decisions on major technical and delivery issues
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills, and is comfortable at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations
A broad understanding across the whole of the software life cycle with a record of having applied the knowledge successfully in a variety of situations. Has a comprehensive knowledge of software process models and quality assurance.
Required key skills
Good knowledge of software principles and design experience with relevant platforms
Proven experience of working with technical teams at all levels, from design through to development and implementation
Able to coordinate design decisions for systems to be delivered by multiple suppliers, both internal and external.
Ability to lead design discussions, internally or with third party vendors
Understanding of development methodology and software development
