Product Owner - Experience with IT Billing, Collections and Financial reporting

The Billing and Finance domain consists of a complex system landscape with many interlinking processes. As the demand to deliver new products and services increases, it becomes more and more important to ensure that these result in an operationally transparent environment that delivers the highest possible value to both the customer and the organization.

The technical Product Owner is the interface translating business requirements into IT specifications, through user stories, a crucial role regarding the development of the companies Billing and Finance IT systems and infrastructure.

Duties include:

*Creating user stories in a manner that translates business requirements into language understood by the scrum teams.
*Ensuring that work delivered by the scrum teams is based on business priorities and the best return on investment company wide.
*Planning user stories effectively in order to deliver value from each sprint.
*Aligning sprint planning with other business units in case of interdependencies.
*Ensuring deliverables from the scrum teams are not delayed by impediments.
*Continuously reviewing and improving the scrum process to improve output quality and productivity.
*Align with the Architects and Solution designers to ensure consistency towards a target vision and architecture.
*Managing business stakeholder expectations.
*Liaising with the stakeholders to gather business needs whilst still ensuring that the solution requested will be sustainable also in the long term.
*Planning, developing, refining stories based on overall priorities set by the business decision maker; optimizing value from each sprint, aligning priorities with other scrum teams.
*Monitoring user story development through daily stand-ups, including virtual meetings with off shored development teams.
*Reviewing and accepting user stories based on high quality standards, involving the business user (requestor) to ensure deliverables are meeting their requirements.
*In case of outages and/or emergency releases; assessing potential impact on systems and processes, communicating with relevant stakeholders.

Skill requirements
*WO (eg TU Informatica): analytical skills more so than the grade.
*Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
*Proven experience in the IT Billing, Collections and Financial reporting domain is crucial for this role
*Knowledge of IT development, architecture and hands-on development experience is an advantage.
*Knowledge of Agile Scrum is an advantage, the desire to immerse and learn is a must.
*Several years of experience in the Energy, Banking or Telecom Industry is an advantage.
*Outstanding stakeholder management skills.
*Fluent in English, Dutch is an advantage.
*Customer focused, result driven.
*Eagerness to learn - curious to understand the technology.

*Have strong planning and organising skills.
*Able to cope with demanding environment.
*Have a high quality standard.
