Job Description
My client requires a Project manager focused on a major Business change programme working in the Broadcast industry..
The objective of the business change project is to rationalise and improve existing operational processes and organisational structures, with the aim of driving efficiency and setting-up the operational teams for the broader transformation programme.
Business Project Management
Lead the planning and end-to-end project management across the project
Lead the project team through the project lifecycle ensuring adherence to governance, risk and issue management, effective project communication and delivery of quality artefacts e.g.:
Project plans
RAID log
Stakeholder matrix
RACI
Readiness plan
Managing the project budget
Project status reports
Supporting with the shaping and scoping, developing the business case, clarifying KPIs, benefit measurement and realisation tracking.
Mapping out and understanding the project organisational structure and facilitating governance that enables effective project communication and business decision making.
Creating and maintaining a project plan that outlines what will be delivered when; from initiation through to implementation including, key milestones and dependencies. Providing the controls to ensure a project delivers on time, to scope and budget with a focus on the customer and business impact.
Estimating and scheduling resources to ensure successful delivery of quality artefacts.
Managing project finances; forecasting spend, tracking actuals, planning so the project stays on budget and prepping monthly finance reviews and reporting out to the stakeholders.
Organise and support the project team to deliver quality deliverables and create a collaborative working atmosphere that brings teams across the business together
Deputising for Programme Manager and other members of the leadership team when required
Experience
You will have at least 3 years experience working within the Broadcast media industry
A proven track record of delivering complex work streams and projects across multiple business areas
Strong stakeholder management skills; building relationships with the ability to facilitate decision making and escalation of risk, with proven experience of facing off to director and exec level stakeholders.
Good understanding of project delivery best practices and how to project manage to high standards.
An excellent understanding of the business processes and technologies associated with media organisations, specifically content scheduling and rights management.
Ability to operate in an environment where the majority of delivery resources report to other functional areas within the business.
Ability to present strategies and plans in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders and interested parties.
Ability to operate in an agile environment, where requirements are met through iterative development and value is delivered at each stage.
