Job Description
Working within the departmental strategy, the Senior Product Owner will implement the vision and functional elements necessary to deliver the products within that work stream. The Senior Product Owner will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and document detailed software requirements for the Customer Service / Sales products, and applications.
Within the product development team, the Senior Product Owner will also own specific key products and be responsible for prioritising the product backlog, and is embedded within a team of software engineers, doing whatever is necessary to build the best product possible. As a line-manager of other team members, the Senior Product Owner will manage the performance of other Product Owners and Business Analysts and support them with prioritisation and implementation.
Responsibilities:
*Be the business expert for one of the service and retention work stream
*Lead cross functional Product Development teams delivering new products to market and improving existing products in pursuit of increased digital share and NPS
*Collaborate closely with Technology teams delivering the capabilities; creating and developing excellent working relationships and collaborative working practices
*Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that the product roadmap supports initiatives designed to drive adoption of digital services and customer satisfaction. Within the context of the Departmental plan, develop and implement a clear product roadmap supported by detailed development and rollout plans
*Work closely with senior stakeholders, representatives to ensure two-way communication and understanding of the product and future roadmap
*Responsible for delivering information succinctly and accurately to senior stakeholders and decision makers
*Line manage Product Owners and Analysts
Essential skills/experience:
*Understanding of Customer Service, Retention, Internet technologies, Set top box UI,
*Experience of working in agile development operating models
*Budget accountability/business case creation
*Leadership and motivation of virtual team
*An excellent knowledge of interactive products and technologies, ideally from a Customer Service perspective.
*You will be great at problem solving and a confident multi-tasker, have an inquisitive nature, and be a self-learner. It is important that you have strong analytical skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely gather, interpret, analyse, and document information.
*You will be adept at understanding customer needs and analysing those needs across the Company's customer base to identify the best solution. You will also need to be able to articulate those requirements to various stakeholders.
*It is important that you have the ability to translate business and technical requirements into the form of Epics and User Stories. Working within agile/scrum teams you will need to be a great team player.
