*Define and develop strategy, tooling, code standards, workflows, etc. with regards to the build and development of Infrastructure as Code including an automation framework with elements of declarative automation model, state and orchestrator.
*This role will drive Infrastructure as Code development by translating business requirements together with solution-, network- and cloud/infrastructure architects and into software and provide modular code that can meet scaling requirements and future demands
*Primary goal is automation of cloud infrastructure (network and compute), but driven by application requirements
*Work closely with network, cloud, application and integration architects and developers to define building blocks and new features
*Define and build POC environments to compare and select suitable solutions
*Write clean, well-structured and maintainable code
*You should be well rounded and had his/her antennas in multiple areas and knows common automation tools well enough to pick them when needed.
*Must have hands-on experience with DSL based automation tool (e.g. Terraform or similar),
*Must have python skills (2-3+ years in development project),
*Hands-on database (data model) design experience, and some basic networking (switching, routing, load balancing, DNS, …), compute knowledge (e.g. VMWare, Docker), and public cloud knowledge (e.g. AWS).
*The ideal candidate has even been working in a lead role that circles around the cloud automation/orchestration topic
English speaking is essential working in an international team onsite full time in Amsterdam. This will initially be a 3-6 month contract but highly likely to extend for between 18-24 months. We can assist with support on relocation and set up in the Netherlands.
