Job Description

The successful candidate will produce an end-to-end IT Solution design that encapsulates the functionality and integration required to deliver a migration & decommissioning solution from TDM to DOCSIS.

Analyse key input artefacts to understand scope and requirements driving your designs
Define workshop schedule and proposed agendas, share with business and technology representatives in advance to secure resource time
Identify and manage design issues, and drive decisions through Design Review Board
Issue, review and uplift design deliverables according to input from stakeholders
Work closely with vendors and other programme solution design teams to team to align on integration and raise misalignments appropriately
Act as subject matter expert for your solution post-design completion, performing QA on all component level designs sitting under your solution designs

Key Accountabilities
Reporting directly to the Project Manager you will be primarily accountable for:
Producing and owning the E2E Solution Design Document which will be the reference document for the technical implementation
Ensuring any detailed platform solution designs are produced and aligned with the E2E Solution Design Document
Responsible for alignment of the Technical Solution with project requirements including definition of project phasing and work package breakdown
Owning the project list of Solution Design issues or queries and works closely with the SI to agree and communicate resolution
Ensuring that the E2E Solution Design remains up to date throughout the lifecycle of the project; that it represents the solution which is deployed; and that the final solution is communicated back to Architecture to baseline production environments/infrastructure and to any other interested parties
The key project relationships for the E2E Solution Designer are with IT Architecture, Business Analysts, Technical Project Managers, Platform Solution Designers, Development Leads, Validation, Operations and Information Security teams, as well as external suppliers.
Mandatory Requirements

Experience Required:
IT solution architecture and design specific to Telco
Experience in the solution architecture and design of service fulfilment (provisioning & activation)
Experience in the solution architecture and design of order management and workflow
Understanding of key design principles and common demarcations between architecture, requirements, design and implementation
Skills Required:
Service order management (Orchestration, Activation)
Resource order management (Orchestration, Assignment)
Customer & service problem management (Qualification, Diagnostics, Resolution)
Service performance management (Performance monitoring, Performance analysis)
Resource performance management (Monitoring, Analysis)
Optional Requirements

Experience in the solution architecture and design of CRM / customer channels
Experience in the solution architecture and design of network migration
Experience in Enterprise Data Management and Business Intelligence
Understanding of standard eTOM process flows
Understanding of different fixed network delivery technologies
UML/UML 2.0 (sequence, class and activity notation)
A grasp of the main principles of data architecture, physical data modelling and work flow specific to order management
