Job Description
Role Specifics:
This SI role is to support the extension and development of applications and services across the business areas of Sales, Billing & Mediation
The SI will work with Business Analysis & Solution Design on the creation of requirements and design, then lead discussions with affected business areas to conduct formal impact assessments. From these the SI will be expected to assemble delivery plans for each impacted application or service
The development work may be done by internal and/or external resources and the SI will be expected to oversee this development from conception to delivery
Additional interaction will be required with legal & regulatory teams to ensure Ofcom compliance and that all language and customer facing communication has been approved.
Key Accountabilities
The SI Technical Delivery Manager works with the existing IT PM's and the Technology Lead. The primary accountability for the SI-TDM is to ensure all project technical deliverables arrive within agreed scope, quality, timelines and cost parameters.
Technical Integration Assurance
Work with multiple IT, supplier and readiness teams to ensure that the proposed solutions can be delivered, identifying support mechanisms required to cover new functional areas
Manage stakeholders through effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and participation in project change boards
Work closely with individual development, support and operational teams to ensure the planned changes are understood, tracked and implemented in a timely and controlled manner
Ensure that all changes to systems are appropriately tested before they are transitioned to the live environment, and that individual defects are identified, prioritised and driven to conclusion.
Technical Delivery Management
Own the RAID log, track RAIDs to effective resolution
Prepare timely status reports for own and managed work streams
Attend Programme & Project review boards supporting the programme team ensuring that feedback is understand and enacted upon
Ensure that Project technical Go /No-Go calls are held as part of the governance process.
Mandatory Requirements
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience: 5 years + experience operating as a Technical Delivery Manager on large and complex full lifecycle technology programmes using SDLC methodologies across a number of IT projects in a blended team environment (i.e. Top Tier SI, contract, perm, vendor, cross-business functions)
Working Environment: Track record of operating effectively in a matrixed, fast moving, dynamic, challenging, release-orientated project environment
Functional and Technical Experience:
Experience in working in large MSO telecommunications organisations
Subject matter expertise in Sales applications, channels and services
Subject matter experience in Telco Billing & Mediation
