Business Analyst - Broadcast media
England / contract / Negotiable - day rate
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst for a 12-month+ contract with deep broadcast media industry, specifically with Ad Sales or Scheduling systems. You'll be a pivotal part of our project teams, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
Role
- Business analysis: You'll be responsible for gathering detailed requirements from business users and internal stakeholders, ensuring a clear and comprehensive understanding of project needs.
- Documentation: You will be proficient in documenting key project artefacts, including user cases (often provided in Excel), change requests, and change designs (stored in SharePoint).
- Participate in stakeholder meetings with the goal of understanding all major projects and initiatives planned.
- Assist in the gathering and validation of user stories and functional requirements.
- Testing and training: You'll perform manual testing and develop test cases and test plans before handing off to the UAT team. You may also provide training and go-live support as needed.
Role
You'll work closely with business users who will create initial user cases. Your role will be to review, refine, and add clarity to these documents. You'll then create change requests, get them signed off by business users, and address any queries that arise from our distributed teams. You'll be hands-on with manual testing to ensure quality before passing it to the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team.
Required experience & skills
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in the broadcast media industry.
- Specific expertise in Ad Sales or Scheduling is essential.
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to go-live.
- Proficiency with tools such as Confluence and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with manual testing and creating test plans/cases.
This role can be remote with some occasional onsite meetings/workshops in London
