Background

KPMG is a leading consultancy and services company, operating in more than 150 countries.

They were looking for operations engineers to support their global infrastructure. This included resources in several European countries to support both their European and North American operations. 

The challenge

They were under strain as they had lost a key member of one of their teams and this was affecting both delivery and the morale of the other team members. Finding the right individuals with the right mix of skills, experience and character was particularly challenging and KPMG needed to resolve this urgently.

The Solution

We had a good relationship with the line management and directors within their infrastructure operations teams and worked together with their HR advisors. For these full time roles, we took the time to fully understand the brief and what the requirements were. This enabled us to map out, identify and approach the candidates that we felt were a good match.

A shortlist of candidates was provided within a two week time frame. All candidates were interviewed and one was immediately made an offer as their stand out choice.

The Result

The chosen candidate accepted the offer and joined them and as they had experience and expertise in that area, were onboarded and productive within a month. This swiftly relieving pressure on the team and interestingly, the individual is still with KPMG several years later!
